What is a Luxury Bed?

What’s Hot Right Now in the Bedroom?
At the moment, according to Country Living Magazine, there is a focus on the following colours for bedrooms: green, white and blue taking the top three spots. Followed by grey, black and pink. This is an interesting list of colours (particularly black!), but obviously there are many shades of each of these colours and if you take a bold colour and offset it with some neutral tones, this can be an effective way of adding personality to your space.

Velvet, Boucle or Linen?
Everyone has heard of velvet, right? It is a popular fabric and most people will know how it looks and feels. It is a type of woven tufted fabric in which densely cut threads are evenly distributed. Its pile is short with a lovely soft smooth feel. Velvet has a beautiful drape and unique texture.
To top it off, it has a smooth and shiny appearance. Velvet epitomises luxury! One hundred percent! It has been a popular textile used in fashion for many years; it has been used in clothing and home décor due to its high end feel. Velvet has been popular for many years for occasion wear and daily wear clothing, as well as cushions, curtains, luxury beds and sofas.
What is boucle? Boucle is a French word meaning curled or looped. It is made with two strands of yarn that form the loops to create a textured material. This is another popular material for use on furniture and is often used to compliment other materials within the room. Boucle is soft and durable. It is a fairly heavy fabric so perfect for sofas and luxury beds.
And linen? Why choose linen for your bed? Linen is a breathable, durable, soft fabric made from natural fibres called flax. Linen is incredibly strong and lightweight. It is also an eco-friendly material as it made from natural fibres. Linen is much more durable and will last for a lifetime. It has a texture to it and a pattern giving the bed more detail and interest.
Linen is a great material for those with allergies as it is hypoallergenic. As the weave in the material is slightly loose, the material doesn’t trap as many dust and other particles that can irritate people with sensitivity to them. Linen does not conduct heat like other materials, so this material is very effective at keeping you cool in the summer.
